Which hybrid cars come with a spare tire?

My wife's Prius, (The first, and still the best hybrid on the market) has one. One of those dinky little things suitable for a baby stroller, but they work. Hmm, I haven't checked the air pressure in that tire for quite some time. I'd better get to it.

You would have to enquire. Most come with an aerosol can of muck to seal slow punctures. Unfortunately that usually renders the tire beyond repair. Many of these cars still have a spare wheel well so it pays to acquire a 'space saver' tire if that's legal in your country. It is in the UK.

Few, if any, I suspect these days. It's a current trend not to include one on the basis of space and weight saving, it's actually to save money.

It's also space saving, particularly for hybrids and sports cars. More and more new cars are eliminating the spare tire and including inflator kits instead. Some cars are equipped with “run-flat” tires, but these tend to be available only in luxury models.
