Can you buy a car from another state? Specifically I only have a California license but I want to buy a car in Arizona?

I think you might have to have it inspected and registered in CA the DMV dot CA website seems to have some info on it https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/vr/checkl...

Ya, you might have to pay sales tax twice. Check with your BMV. Car would have to pass California inspections as well.

Has to be CARB compliant and with local California laws.

You'll have to pay California tax when you register it.

Yes. If you have the money to pay for it, you can BUY a car from ANY state.

If you want to license and drive it in California, make certain that it meets California standards for emissions and safety.

Yes, but when you bring it back to CA, you need to register it there.
