Unlocking phones?
Hi guys I can't afford to buy my own phone right now so my dad is going to give me his old paid-off iPhone. I believe he has Verizon.
Does HE- the original owner of the phone, have to be the one to go into Verizon to get it unlocked? Or can I take it myself without an issue?
As long as the phone is paid off and isn't reported stolen there shouldn't be a problem right?

I believe most Verizon 4G LTE smart phones are unlocked already. It should be as simple as putting in your carrier's SIM and that should be it.
