Can satellites provide a live feed of everything on earth?

I am wondering how advanced these satellites are. Pictures could be taken from satellites but have we got to the point where they can provide a live aerial view of various people on earth?

In the 80's Reagan and his generals watched live, in the WhiteHouse as troops raided a Libyan terrorist camp----And it was in Infra red too---you could see the people IN the tents---and the generals had direct communications with the troops.  "There are three guys in that tent!  Get em!"

That was the 80's---can you imagine what we have today?

You fail to grasp basic orbital mechanics.

To get the highest possible resolution of things on the ground, you need the satellite to be as close to the Earth as possible, say, in a low orbit of175 Km altitude.

But, at that altitude, a satellite will swiftly move away from any given spot on the ground in a few minutes.

So, if you want to watch any one spot continually, you'd need dozens of satellites continually following each other in the same orbit, and such satellites are EXPENSIVE, so good luck getting money for such a quest.

No. Satellites CANNOT show what is happening underground. You have to have very high security clearances to have?access to live feeds. You cannot track your boy friend or girl friend,s activities on weather satellites it had have a pixel resolution of 8 square kilometers. .

yes, but you would have to be in the open, in daylight. And the resolution is limited, but that value is classified.
