Is Biden Irish?
I just heard on the radio, a BBC reporter calling out to Joe Biden, trying to ask him a question. When the reporter called out, "Mr Biden, I'm from the BBC", Mr Biden replied, "I'm Irish". Could Mr Trump use this to oust his rival?
Just to clarify, as a British person, who along with most sane people, could see any alternate to Mr Trump would be the better option, I was shocked by this insult.
He's obviously referring to a dislike of anything British, and wants a United Ireland.

It comes as a surprise to English people that they are actually not especially liked or respected abroad. Many appreciate how Ireland suffered under British tyranny especially other former colonies.

In what world is "I'm Irish" an insult to someone else?
Regardless some bizarre perceived insult - yes. Joe Biden's mother was Eugenia Finnegan, which couldn't get much more Irish. And his father's parents also had some Irish ancestry.
So about as far as it gets in America, Joe Biden is Irish.

Re: your updates -
That's quite a leap there. You should probably stretch out first, or you'll pull a hamstring.

"Irish" may be his ancestry. Too much of our "ancestry" is lies. My mother's family long claimed to have some Native American roots, then the terrible truth was found out. We still don't say the word "Melungeon." It rankles some--so my heritage was intentionally hidden. Pg. 67 of the paperback version of "The Art of the Deal," Trump claimed Swedish ancestry. Untrue.
