  • When was gas lighting stopped in the UK?

When was house gas lighting stopping in the UK? I can recall my mother saying she used to go to the shop for a 2d gas mantle for her mother. I'm just watching The Elephant Man and it reminded me of it. She was born in 1926 so it must have been around in the early thirties at least. I can remember myself being in a caravan in the seventies and seeing it lit by gas mantles.

  • Where are the covid questions?

Where have all the covid questions gone? We're in the middle of what our governments seem to think of the worst pandemic of all time, and I can't find a single question? I'm asking this in the health section, so if it ends up elsewhere, that might answer my question.

  • How many British politicians are millionaires?

How many British politicians, (who are supposed to be representative of the population), are currently millionaires? I can't find any recent articles on this, only from a few years ago. Why is nothing ever done to make parliament more representative? Is it because you need money to become a politician? Occasionally they do feel a need to pander to the public and let a few in, but they're not taken seriously, and if you don't keep an eye on them things just go back to how they've always been.

  • Why do the religious block atheists, and often make outrageous claims about what we say?

I'll ask it again. Why to the religious, or those anonymous trolls who pretend to be religious, ask questions of atheists and block them so they can't reply? The answer of course is to try and show the other brainwashed that we dare not, or maybe wind us up.
