Why is it hard to find a girl that wants to live in Phoenix, AZ?
I'm wondering why it is so hard to find a girl that wants to live in Phoenix, AZ. What is it about Phoenix that turns people away? I moved to Phoenix last year and I absolutely love it here. I've noticed however that people come and go and don't stay long in Phoenix. I met a woman who sold her house to go live in Flagstaff and she was so excited about it. I mean really? Flagstaff? That town is so boring. No skyscrapers, big malls, or any city life. I really want to have my career here and I want my future kids to go to school in the Kyrene District. It's just hard trying to find a woman who loves Phoenix as much as I do. I've also met a woman who wanted to move to another part of the world and just said Phoenix would do for now.
Another guy recently told me that it will be hard to almost impossible to find a girl who wants to live in Phoenix. He said it's because girls love to move to other parts of the country. I don't understand it. Why do people not want to stay in Phoenix? And when I say Phoenix, I'm talking about all of Maricopa County, not just the city limits. It's so nice here. Phoenix is probably the only nice city in all of Arizona.
Furthermore, why is it that everybody gives me a funny look and say that Phoenix is full of rude people when I tell them how nice and friendly people around here are. I've met some of the nicest most kindest people here. I've met people who would go out of their way to help you.
Please answer my questions.
Thanks!

The heat and rise in gun violence keeps people away.

I moved to and live in Phoenix. I had NO problem finding a gf and marrying her. I suspect that the problem is you, not the other residents of Phoenix.
When you say "Phoenix" you mean Maricopa County? Then why not say Maricopa County?
I'm REALLY interested in why Phoenix is the only "nice" City in all of Arizona. And you wonder why no woman wants to date you?

Phoenix, like Los Angeles and, to some degree Tucson, is not really a city in the way that New York, Boston, Chicago or San Francisco are. Rather, Phoenix is more like a seemingly endless suburb. Most urban people would not want to live there because it only offers some of what a true city has. Sure, it has one very good art museum, but many other cities have two or three or seven great art museums. It has fairly minimal mass transportation whereas many other cities have excellent or at least very good bus and subway systems. The list goes on and on.
What this means is that people who love cities would not want to live in Phoenix. Mostly, it is people who love suburbs that want to live there.
Not everyone wants skyscrapers or big malls, by the way. Flagstaff is a great town in that it has lots of restaurants and stores (and a really good university) and, at the same time, incredible access to hiking, skiing, and historic sites. Although I don't live in Flagstaff, I am sure I would enjoy it if I did.
Of course, there are also people who don't get along well with the heat in Phoenix. There is that to contend with, too.
At any rate, I have certainly met women who live in Phoenix and love it there just as I have met men who live in Phoenix and love it there. And certainly I have not noticed that Phoenix has rude people. Quite the contrary. If you are getting a bad reaction from people in relation to your love of Phoenix, you will need to think about how your personal behavior is causing this. Women don't dislike men because of those men like the place they are living in. But they do dislike men who come off too strong or come off weird or come off not interested in them or come off as wanting to argue with them or, well, a lot of things. Reconsider what about you is causing this reaction. It is not your love of Phoenix that is doing it. That, however, could be an excuse women are using rather than insulting your personal behavior.
Hope this helps. Good luck to you.

You just haven't met the right girl yet. Trust me there are plenty of girls who love living in the Valley of the Sun.
My guess is that you come off as obsessed or weird about this issue so they use it as an excuse to get away from you.
I used to live in the Phoenix area, but moved when I graduated from college for a job. I knew girls who lived there then, that probably still live there now. Yes, it's hellish hot in the summer but one adapts to it. I currently live in S. Florida where it's hellish hot w/humidity.

Its probably the 118° degree
summers. I've lived in Phoenix my entire life and can't imagine why anyone would move here deliberately especially if they're aware how hellishly hot it can get here and still come.
