If people had tails, where would we put them?
If we had tails, would pants have a hole in the rear for your tail to come out? Or would we curl it up inside our pants? Or put it down the pants leg?
Would your tail showing be considered obscene or rude?

Well in dragon ball it wraps around their waist like a belt. I can imagine it'd be uncomfortable tucked inside pants without a hole for it to stick out
