What connector is this on this hard drive? *pics (Toshiba MK1503GAL)?

I found this old mini hard drive from a vintage Sharp laptop. It is much smaller than a standard 2.5" laptop drive. The connector looks either like a CompactFlash or a mini IDE.

My question is, how do I get the data off of this drive? This does not fit in a CompactFlash reader due to the size of the drive.

It is an IDE connection but not a standard IDE, standard PATA HDD connectors have pins not sockets, you need a 1.8" to 2.5" converter such as this

That's an IDE connection. That's the old HDD connector standard. It is sometimes called ATA. IDE/ATA is now known as PATA. It needs a wide flat ribbon cable. You can find PATA PCI adapter cards in eBay and Amazon.

it is an ATA laptop connector, better known as PATA laptop drive. theoretically, it fits in the same space as a 2.5" drive. it looks 2.5" in your pic. how big is it actually? the narrower thickness varies, even with SATA drives.
