People with AIDS who don't take medication only live about 3 years, even less if they get a dangerous infection. But HIV can still be treated at this stage.

  • Life expectancy today is about 70 years, if they're being treated and keeping healthy.

AIDS or HIV? I know people who have been living with HIV for 40 years. Once it moves into AIDS, it's more serious, but there are some very good treatments for it now.

It's no established timeline it's all dependant on which opportunistic infection or disease they succumb to from having a compromised immune system.
