Why is it easier to go viral on tiktok than youtube?

Nowadays, to me Youtube seems more 

and more about movies, tv shows, and 

music... with some game streaming and 

a few "how to" things thrown in. Tiktok 

on the other hand seems to have more 

of the "randomness" that used to be a 

huge part of Youtube, so people have 

a reason to want to share stuff they 

found there. Also, Youtube is killing 

itself with too many ads.

Funny cuz I have more subscribers on youtube than I do on tiktok

Easy answer, tiktok is trending! Youtube has increased ads and users that dont want to upgrade to premium are now getting bored of seeing ads after ads. As for tiktok, it only has one ad at the beginning and all content. Another thing is that for the most part, tiktok goes straight to the point as for youtube videos must last more than 10min in order to get paid and make money. Hope it helps

Because no one cares about YouTube anymore. It's old compared to newer platforms that basically sport the same purpose.

Because it has more revenue and videos are automatically thrown up at you so more views that way aswell
