Why are John Lennon's Home Recordings being deleted from YouTube?

I like listening to John Lennon's home recordings but ive noticed over the past week a ton of John Lennon songs have been deleted from youtube and channels with old archives of John Lennon have been terminated completely deleting the songs. Does anyone know why this is happening? Some very good piano ballads from john are gone now when I was just listening to them a week ago!

Now and Then is an unfinished song composed by John Lennon and released as a solo piano/vocal piece in 1978. He made a demo recording of the unfinished piece of music at his Dakota home... "The Last Lennon/McCartney Song?"... "Now and Then" demo, cleaned up with the troublesome buzz completely gone.

I put up a movie once on Youtube it was a rare one and nobody could even find it and they deleted the movie and said it was due to copyright. Probably the same in this case.

My guess would be that the copyright owners of those recordings has requested that they be removed, as required by US copyright law.  If the person who posted them can prove they had the rights, they may file a counter-notification and have them re-enabled unless the copyright owners sue for infringement.

Who owns them?  That is Michael Jackson. So it is part of his estate.  He bought the rights to all Beatle songs ( and I am going to guess JL, &PM & RS works as well.  Which is sad state of affairs. IMHO
. But, I had no problem with YouTube JL songs, so maybe it is just you?

Copyright infringement is the reason why this happened. You should remember YouTube is legally required to take down infringing material at the request of the copyright holders, per the DMCA. This is the reason why some of the material has been deleted from the site. As for why some channels have been terminated, this is from YouTube receiving multiple third-party claims of copyright infringement filed against the users. Now this should get you to see what's been happening there in recent days.

It is due to the copyrights issue. The record company of John Lennon probably requested John Lennon's videos be taken down.

You can buy his mp3 or his CDs over at amazon and ebay.
