How Large Of A USB Flash Drive Is Typically Needed To Make New Win10 PC System Image/ OS, for back up, 16GB, 32GB or larger??
****This is a NEW computer, no personal files on it yet. As stated in question above, wanting to create a back up, image..... of new system/info should anything ever go wrong. From my understanding and experience, this is a normal and recommended step one should take when setting up a new system, i just don't have all the specifics.

don't mess around with System Image. waste of time as there is a better way.
Get an 8 GB USB and go to the Microsoft Media Creation Tool web site and download and run the TOOL. this will download the latest version of Windows 10 and place it on the USB and make it bootable. then when you have trouble just do a clean install from the USB.
You should also be making back up copies of all your documents, pictures, Videos etc onto an external Hard Drive.
If you want an exact copy of the Hard Drive then do a CLONE, Not an Image.

A system image is a copy of your hard drive. System imaging software copies your hard drive to a file or a set of files.
The software only copies the used space on your hard drive.
So, if you are only using 400 GB of your 1 TB hard drive, it will only copy the 400 GB you are using. In this case, you would need a 400 GB Flash Drive.
