Pcs are easier to use they dont move around when you are using them and you can sit more comfortable while working with a pc
Source(s): I have one of each - 4 weeks ago
How else you gonna fit in that floppy drive....or the optical drive......or put in all those hard drives(oh well, those sata ssd's are a lot smaller)
You still need a large size pc tower case for those really long GPU's. And a big pc for that noctua air cooler.
But if I'm not playing games and need to travel around....then I still have my wholly upgraded Compaq PP2150, which is good for internet browsing and self defense.

PCs -- more power for your dollar and much bigger screen possible. plus, they're upgradable

Laptop = portable $500+ is decent quality. Dell inspiron, XPS.
Mobile workstation = futureproof. High cost $1000+ , just as powerful as a desktop. DELL PRECISION mobile workstation
desktop = safest, easiest to maintain and repair. Longest lasting. $500+

with laptops always go for larger battery (86wh over 60wh) and cheaper to buy ram afterwards (buy largest-single size stock, then fill remaining slots with that same RAM mode = lf 4 slots get 2 then remaining aftermarket)

One thing in particular that I really like about using a desktop is the large screen one can choose to pair it up with.
On my 22 inch screen, my word documents have enough room to show two columns of text, so it's far easier to find something in a longer document.
Even though my laptop is a bit bigger than the usual, at 17.3 inches, that only leaves room for one Word column.
