Why is YouTube going crazy with the ads?

What should I do? I don't want to give them my CC number and personal info for a premium account. Even the freakin' fan white noise channels have ads now- which totally defeats the purpose. Just started a few weeks ago and drives me nuts!

Without the ads YouTube would be useless because the ads makes YouTube pay youtubers, no ads on videos, then no money for the owner of the video. Even YouTube won't run anymore because advertisers pay YouTube to display those ads on people's videos, so you just have to deal with it.

But if you still want a ads free YouTube life then subscribe to premium plan on YouTube.

uh, it costs a lot of money to host videos. money that ads pay for.
that is the true price of "free". either they get the money from ads, or from you. they cannot waste their own cash helping others.
consider this: why don't YOU just make your OWN video hosting for people to use for free? just hire someone to build the site, and pay for a webhost to store the data, and pay extra for all the bandwidth used...
right, because you couldn't afford it. but with ads, you could...

Sorry I can't relate as I've been using premium for a few years now. I can recommend using an ad-block for browsers but if you want to listen to youtube in the background like youtube music for example, you may as well cave in and just get the premium. If you made up your mind to not go with premium then stop complaining and accept you will have to put up with ads.
