Adult Adoption And Name Change?
Hi, I am trying to find a way for my step father to adopt me, and sign his name on my birth certificate. I am 20 years old and live in Texas. I did research But am so confused I also have his last name, but I am trying to keep my last name and switch my middle name to my first and my first to my middle name.
I had a DNA test when I was 11 so, I know who my biological is. my stepfather has been there from birth so it matters.if anyone can help us to the right direction of what we can do it will be a blessing thanks.

Not sure if an adult adoption changes the birth certificate. Check with the TX Vital Records Office (or whatever it's called in TX). Generally, one can change one's name to whatever one wants.
