If I wanted to find my birth mother how would I do it ?

I was put up for adoption as a new born... I am turning 18 in May and want to find my birth parents. Just to know some family history and why I was put up for adoption. How would I do this ?

If the other suggestions don't work, try submitting your DNA to 23andme. There was a show called Long Lost Family where they tracked down the families of adopted people. Often, they did it by submitting the DNA. 23and me matches you with people in their database. If you get matched with cousins, you can then contact them, and find out where the connection is.

Try adopted.com where you can search based on whatever information you might have.

    Hire a private detective.

Also, contact the agency that handled your adoption. You should be able to register your information with the agency in case the parent ever attempts to find you through them.
