If you want the bare look, get one of the newer hair removers such as the YES or the No NO. It also keeps hair form growing back fast.

Very common the first time you shave. Make sure the water is very warm, use shave cream or Dove soap, and a new razor.  Go slowly.  The more you do it the less irritation there will be.  Or you could get it waxed.

I agree with other posters here - just leave it hairy. Apart from the health aspects, it distinguishes a woman from a girl

The bumps are called razor burn.

The most basic advice for preventing razor burn is to use water, and soap or shaving gel to lubricate the razor's blade. Shave first in the direction of hair growth to get the hair short without causing unnecessary skin irritation. For most people, the direction of the hair growth on the pubic bone is downward. To shave with the grain, one places the razor at the top of the hair line and gently guides the razor downward. Once the hairs are shorter you can shave in the opposite direction, crossways, or in whichever way seems to work for getting the smoothest after feel.

Sometimes even if you follow these suggestions while doing your shave in the shower, it is still possible to get bumps.

To stop the itching you can try using a lotion, baby oil, olive oil, or jojoba oil to moisturize the skin. It will help reduce the skin irritation.

For females, it is advised we not put oil *inside the vagina. Usually it's okay to apply very gentle oils or moisturizers to the skin on the outside. A little goes a long ways. Stay away from anything with perfume or fragrance. Oil can stain fabrics like clothing, so use a pantyliner, and don't wear your favorite undies until the oil has a chance to absorb into the skin.

If you want to avoid razor burn altogether you can use a personal trimmer, or beard trimmer to trim the hair so that it's neatly short. That way you have a little bit of hair.

These may also be referred to as bikini trimmers.

Many come with "guards" for the blade head, that let you choose how short a shave you want.

Trimmers can be purchased online, or at retailers such as Walmart. They cost more than disposable razors, but you will use the device many times. The larger up front cost can be thought of as an investment. Instead of buying new razors all the time, or replacement blades, you buy one trimmer that you use for a long time.

There's a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors to choose from. The ones for guys tend to be black. The ones marketed for ladies often come in white, pink, purple, or teal. Honestly, most of them are the same kind of tool. Pick whatever feels rights for you.

As the hair will likely continue to grow indefinitely, much like the hair on your head, it is a good idea to do some sort of self grooming from time to time. Otherwise the hair growth ultimately becomes rather Jumanji (a mythical dense unruly jungle.)

Hope this helps in some way.

Try waxing and see how you like that procedure.  Or just leave it hairy.

Leave it natural. Shaving your pubes is ridiculous.

Good. It is a silly habit followed mainly in the USA.

Countries with a reasonable sex-ed program teach adolescents that pubic hair is normal and serves a useful purpose.

Shaving the pubic area leaves you more likely to develop skin irritations and infections.

Its ingrown hairs i think. Use warm water then shave cream. That should help. If that doesnt work Idk. Youd have to was it if you really wanted.
