how can humans have originated from one 'starting place' on such a huge planet ?
this is what I have failed to comprehend.
try as i may, I just cannot 'agree' with the notion that the earliest humans ALL lived together in some small concentrated area of what is now known as Africa.
that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
which idiot came up with that conclusion in the first place?

It's just a THEORY...the Out of Africa Theory.
FWIW, people assume too much. There's no proof of it. There's also no proof that our ancestors in Africa were black. It's assumed.
Scientists also assume (based on conjecture and concensus) that the white race is only 70k years old too.
