I have attained a good undergraduate degree from the discipline of Electrical and Electronics engineering and from a top University in the UK. Now I’m studying for my masters after a 3 year gap because I realised I couldn’t compete well in the industry.

I know education is not that golden key that opens all doors but at the same time, I have tried my best in all voluntary sectors (United Nations, Cancer research) etc. Why is it hard for me to get onto my chosen career which is what I have studied for years and even gained professional qualifications?

At times, I cringe when I notice the level of mentality of my work colleagues because we just cannot chat at the same wavelength and this is not me being proud. We can never be real and even when they see me reading my TIME magazine; they think I’m trying to “show-off” as being posh (which I’m not even close in anyway, shape or form).

I have tried my best to get over my ex-girlfriend of 7years that has just left me and find it extremely difficult. I keep calling her and she even cries over the phone as to how difficult it is for her but that she loves someone else now.

We still both cry over this as it was only three days ago that she told me. I just cannot picture myself sleeping with someone else and actually getting into a long and meaningful relationship. She’s told me there’s no way to accept me even if her new found love does not work out. Please help me get over this nastiness. She’s not the best from the pick but I think I’m too comfortable with her and that’s a very big problem for me.
