When applying for a job...?

and the question says 'Please state briefly why you have applied for this position: __________' what would be a good and acceptable way to phrase something as simple as 'looking for extra cash'? I don't want to make it sound like that, and I am a very respectable and responsible person. However, the part time job I have now isn't paying enough and I need to add a 2nd job to help me through college. Thanks for any advice you may have!

When you answer that which is an honest answer. it simply means, from the employer's perspective is you will leave this job for another one for better money.May be use better tactful word like :

"I would like to increase my income"

"I want to be more financially stable"

"I want to fund my college fees"

"I need some MORE money so i can get through college." If they know you are trying to get through college then they know your hard working or else you would not be in college.
