  • Is concentrated chicken broth the same thing as chicken stock?

In doing my grocery shopping this week I completely forgot to pick up chicken stock, so I asked my husband to bring some home from work (he works at a grocery store). What he ended up bringing home is Swanson Flavor Boost 100% Natural Concentrated Chicken Broth. Can this product be used in place of chicken stock?

The recipe I'm need this for is a broccoli cheese soup if that makes a difference.

Help appreciated before I ruin this recipe.

  • How do I completely wipe my desktop?

I haven't time to search all of the questions already asked as I am about to leave for work and would like to accomplish this today as soon as I get home. Hoping for answers by then.

I have an incredibly old desktop computer (read: approximately 15 years old) that I am looking to donate or otherwise get rid of completely. However, there is quite a bit of personal information on the hard drive that I wouldn't be comfortable if any future owner were to find. There's nothing on the computer I want to keep. It simply takes up too much room and hasn't been used in years. I've been told I can donate it to a homeless shelter which is what I'd like to do.

If the answer is going in and manually deleting all files I guess that's what I'll do. I'm hoping to avoid this though, because I fear they will still be salvageable and/or this process will take hours.

  • How much is 1858 Canada 20 cent coin worth?

The question says it all. I've looked around the Internet and found various answers. I am interested to see what you guys think would be the maximum I could get for it. The story behind the coin type is very interesting as well.

  • Ideas for a flow presentation?

I have a flow presentation to do for my investigative journalism class. The assignment is to find an event that occurred more than 5 years ago (and hopefully has a book written exposing the truth) in which I can track the media coverage throughout the years and how the "truth" changed over time. Examples of presentations I have already seen in class are Charles Manson and Pearl Harbor. My partner and I have thought of a few ideas (Columbine and the beltway sniper case) but we're wondering if anyone has anything better. Thanks!

  • When do custom license plates expire?

I've had personalized license plates for about a year and a half now. How do I find out when/if they expire? Specifically in New York, because that's where I'm located right now. I used to live in Virginia and they had stickers on them with the expiration date which leads me to question my New York plates. I've Googled this and looked on the NYS DMV web site and have no found any answers.

    Thanks!

  • AVG Settings?

When I first installed AVG Security there was an option that I was able to check or uncheck which would shut down my computer after the test and scan was over. Recently I had to change the time of the test because it was interfering with my daily activities, and the settings have reset themselves to shut down my computer once the test is complete. Does anyone know how to change this option? I have looked all over! Thanks!

  • Grand Oasis Cancun?

I'm getting very aggravated. My friends and I are trying to plan a trip to this hotel and we've gone through several travel websites to get rates and whatnot. Now, we're trying to get information on the hotel regarding how far in advance we are required to book the trip as well as their payment policy. How much money is required at the time of booking? Any other information on this hotel would be great. Thanks for your time!

  • Understood that no one may know the answer yet, but I'm just curious...?

When the Space Shuttle Program wraps up pretty soon, what will be done with the shuttles? They're not simply going to "throw them away" (for lack of better terms) are they? Will they be given to space museums, by any chance? If so, do you think it would be possible to view them maybe at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., when all is said and done with? I'd be interested in viewing a space shuttle that has been in orbit.

  • When applying for a job...?

and the question says 'Please state briefly why you have applied for this position: __________' what would be a good and acceptable way to phrase something as simple as 'looking for extra cash'? I don't want to make it sound like that, and I am a very respectable and responsible person. However, the part time job I have now isn't paying enough and I need to add a 2nd job to help me through college. Thanks for any advice you may have!

  • Jello and fruit?

I'm asking for my grandfather, actually.

Can someone tell me where I can find the recipe to make jello with fruit in it?

He says he's tried it before with canned pears and it didn't turn out correctly. One of his concerns is whether or not the juices added inside the can will affect the outcome. Is there any difference between canned fruit and fresh fruit in relation to jello recipes?

Also, if you know of any specific treatment needed for a specific type of fruit, please provide that information also.

    Thank you!

  • Apple bottoms hat, glove, and scarf set?

My little sister is in love with the brand. When I was shopping for a winter jacket I happened to pass this:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/NWT-Black-Apple-Bottoms-hat-gl...

in a store and knew she'd love it. This was a couple months ago now, and I don't remember where I was! Does anybody know what typical mall store would carry something of this nature?

Thanks in advance for any help you provide.

  • Its vs. it's?

Oh, sure I'm very capable of differentiating between the two - under most circumstances at least. I know, I know, if you use "it's" you're supposed to be able to replace it with "it is" and have it make sense all the time - a contraction. Please don't mention this to me - I'm clearly aware.

However, I'm typing a paper for my university class and have come upon a situation where I can't determine which version to use.

I'll provide the sentences prior to the specific instance just to provide you with the needed information. The word in question can be found in the last sentence after the second comma.

"Perhaps the most significant piece of advice that could be given to any student entering college for the first time is related to time management. It’s quite a cliché idea, but after completing just one semester of college, I can vouch for it’s (its) importance."

The reason I am question this is because I don't know if it would be need " 's" to show that "it" is possessing importance.

  • How do both of us see the moon at the same time?

If it is daytime here and we see the moon (sometimes) during daylight hours, how is it that people who are in the night hemisphere of the earth see the moon as well? Or do they not? Do they just not have a moon on those nights?

Always wondered about this. I've considered asking my Exploration of Space instructor, but I can't seem to word the question right verbally.
