Question about warranties and modifications?

I just bought a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT Spyder, and I wanted to do some work on it. However, I also purchased the warrantee and it has restrictions on what I can do. Are Intake, Headers, and exhaust system considered "engine modifications", or does that strictly mean changes to the Engine Block itself? While the parts I want to add are technically part of the exhaust system, they connect directly to the engine. I would like to make the changes, but I don't want to void the warrantee (I really couldn't afford expensive repairs if they come up in the next 3 years, and I don't want something dumb like not being able to have my brakes fixed because I threw on an Intake).

intake and exhuast system should be considered external to the engine. Engine mod should mean modifications to the engine block itself. If in doubt, why not call up the agent and find out? If not, just keep the original parts and reinstall them in case you need your warrenty.
