babysitting rates?

i'm 14 and i want to babysit this summer for money. i've babysat my little siblings before since i was like 9 so i have quite a bit of experience but i never got payed. so i'm wondering how much i should charge.

Update:

when i say i want to know how much i should charge i mean if i was to babysit like outside my family.

you should charge $7.00 an hour. but if you are certified in first aid and life guarding, you should charge around $9.00. but to really impress your "clients" bring a "bag of fun" to your first babysitting job. it will impress the parents and show you are prepared. plus, you will have something to do with the kids!! have fun!

You should go to phoneababysitter.com Its great because it shows people in your area that want a sitter.. You can look at other peoples profiles to see what to charge.. good luck!!

I would say it depends on the number of kids your watching and their ages. As well as how many hours you will be putting in watching them.
