Uploading a difficult DVD format to youtube?

I need to upload a video onto youtube. It's a short educational DVD we had made professionally, but when I open the folder up [on the CD] it's comprised of a bunch of .BUP, .VOB, and .IFO files -- none of these work when I upload them onto youtube.

How do I get this figured out? Do I need to use some kind of converter programme?

These files were created in accordance to the DVD video standard. They are meant to be read with DVD players, not computers.

You can use any number of DVD ripping tools to transcode these files into a proper video file.

Here's a step-by-step guide to rip and transcode your DVD to Windows Media Video. YouTube will accept WMV. http://forum.videohelp.com/topic319304.html

By the way, if you had the DVD created, you would also have the master source. Why not render a video file with that? If you simply have no idea how to, I could understand that... :)

DVD archives, greater often than not, are no longer uploadable because of the fact they're too great. you desire a style of compressed video to get on YouTube...you desire an mpeg4 or some thing like that. I recommend you circulate on the internet and acquire a loose video record converter....Google up "Any Video Converter"....and it will convert your DVD archives into compressed mpegs that is uploaded to YouTube. it fairly is advisable to first smash the vids up into clips and per possibility edit them to a definite length....you ought to use homestead windows MovieMaker to try this in case you have homestead windows XP.

You have to convert the DVD file to something like AVI and that will put everything in one nice and neat file to upload.
