Anybody catching any fish...?

Just wondering how the fishing has been where you are at. I know in Southeastern Oklahoma, the catfishing has been pretty good out of the Washita arm of Lake Texoma.

Florida here, fishing has been great for Mangrove Snapper at night towards the keys. Freshwater fishing is hot, Peacock Bass around the bridges and structure. Lot's of Tilapia in the 2-3 pound range and Mayans in the 2 pound range in many local canals. The bass fishing is tough right now where I'm at. The best bite is happening just before it get's dark, unfortunately the mosquitoes are biting best around that time as well. Barracuda fishing is doing very well around the flats in the morning time. Snook bite is still slow around the intrusion dams but some people are still getting those Sea trout. I haven't seen anyone catching sharks as of late, I guess they moved on. In a few months the mullet run and shrimp will be running again so fishing around here is going to get very interesting. ~Good luck catchin'.

Ya up here in muskoka the fishings going ok.I have only caught 1 northern pike this year.I have caught 2 walleye which isn't to bad.I'm having lots of trouble getting pumpkinseeds at my dock to bite. There is practically no bullheads but already this year ive seen over 40 so thats a good sign. Most of them were babies except for 1 adult. The smallmouth are REALLY biting.Have caught so many and 5 over 3 pounds. On the the weekend I had a HUGE bass smash my jitterbug. But for some reason it didnt get hooked. The same happened the next day except with a huge pike. There are almost no musky there but this year someone caught a huge one.Jesse, keep looking around,You might see the rope floating.Go grab it and see if there is your catfish at the end. This happened to someone I know with a pike 2 weeks later.

  • Fished the northern Gulf of Mexico off the panhandle of Florida this past weekend, limits all around of sow red snapper averaging 28 or more inches, couldn't find any legal grouper though, plenty of shorties on Sunday. Saturday, the amber jack were hitting so much had to stop fishing and rest on a few occassions.....I caught close to 20 during the course of the afternoon (all released) on butterfly jigs, the only reason I stopped was that it literally hurt to retrieve the jig, for those of you that have caught ajs you know what I am talking about.

Up in Minnesota and the Pike have really been biting on black spinnerbaits! Crappies have been active as well. Bass have been a little bit slower than normal for me until I tried out a chatterbait for the first time, that got me 5 bass in just a couple hours!

The fishing has been pretty good here in Montana, the trout are rising well, although there has been some rain and wind, hopefully that has gone and we can get into some serious fly fishing.

Here in Wisconsin I have been laid up on a mess of Crappies. They have been biting like crazy. I have even posted a video article about them on the website, http://outdoorsnewspaper.com/pcrappie-fishing.html

Check it out very informative. Tight Lines. Everyone

Down here in Florida, I personally have only been catching Mayan Cichlids, but reports have been good for salt and freshwater in the state.

during the summer the bass are moving deep water at midday then later in the evening they are feeding close to the shore in other words cast a littler past where you usually catch them (in deeper water) if you fish into midday
