Lost the car fuel plug thing...?
You know when you fill your car up, you pop open the fuel thing, and unscrew that cap? I lost it, the cap that is.
What is it called, and where can I get another one? Will the petrol in the car evaporate now?

Not having the cap on may make your "check engine" light come on, but it's not an emergency. It's ok to drive your car without the gas cap for a little while. Any auto parts store should have a replacement for you. It will probably cost anywhere from 5-15 dollars, depending on what kind of car you have. People must lose or break their gas caps all the time. I work in a parts store and I probably sell a dozen of them every day. ;)

Modern autos do not run properly without the fuel cap. It seals the tank and makes the fuel system work efficiently. Get one at an auto parts store.

You need to get another. They can be purchased from your dealer or an auto supply store. They are called fuel caps.
