spilled some medicine.?

I spilled some of my sons ear infection meds (Amoxicillin) hes 3 months almost 4 months old. How do I tell the doc that without them thinking im just trying to get the meds for myself? Would they understand? Im retarded and went to shake it and put it back in the fridge because I forgot I left it out and when I did the cap wasnt all the way on and some went flying. Ugh. Hes supposed to take it all until its gone and im guessing about a dose and a half is gone now. would that be okay to give him the rest and not worry about it unless its not better or should I say something?

Amoxicillin just isn't the kind of medication that people abuse. It's an antibiotic and is pretty much THE medication he'll get for every ear infection. Just tell the doctor what happened and he'll either prescibe more or tell you it doesn't really matter.

Amoxicillin especially the low dosage your son would be getting is not the kind of drug that any adult could use for personal care. Call your doctor or pharmacist and get their advice.

I highly doubt they would accuse you of using it for yourself since it is an antibiotic. I would call. Explain and see what their recommendation is. Accidents happen I've done things similar to that more times than I can count. :)

i wouldn't worry bout it they tell u to use it all but most of the time it does not take all of it to cure the problem but they tell to use it all just to be safe
