How can I dye green fabric blue?

Ok, I have a nylon tricolour flag. One section is emerald green. Is it possible to dye this so it becomes a deep blue? If so, how? Thanks

Not easily. You'll need to remove the color from the green, then overdye, without slopping the dye into another section; easiest would be to take the flag apart; second easiest would be a resist. You'll need acid or vinyl sulphon dyes or fabric paints for nylon.

Frankly, it would be faster and easier to sew a new flag. And not a whole lot more expensive.

It would be difficult to dye one section of the flag blue without the blue dye leaching over into the other sections of the flag. Is it possible to take the flag apart so you're only working with the green portion, and then reassemble it afterward?

Not all dyes will work on nylon fabrics; read the package carefully before purchasing.
