  • Can you name this song mistakenly thought to be by Guns n' Roses?

Before 'Chinese Democracy' came out there was a song that was commonly doing the rounds which was often attributed to the 'new' GN'R. I downloaded it at the time and really liked it-since then I lost all my digital music. I checked after, and it turned out it was by a band that people often confused with GN'R, largely due to the singer's voice timbre. It had a heavy guitar riff (and isn't the classic by the Laughing Colors about drugs) and generally kicked ****... I seem to remember that the band were from L.A. and were around the same age as GN'R, if perhaps a tad younger. The single must have been fairly recent. Any help is much appreciated, as I'm searching for the track. Thanks.

  • How best to paint a flag?

Ok, for sporting purposes I have envisioned buying two polyester flags in my team's colours (blue and gold), each 3x5 feet. My plan is to run a pole up each flag, then attack velcro so they can be joined together at the other end- in order to make a two-tone banner that can be hoisted before and after the game, and split into two flags during the game. I plan to use white paint on the royal or St.Patrick's blue side and dark blue paint on the gold side. Banner will read together 'WE ARE LEINSTER' (WE and LEIN on the blue side, ARE and STER on the gold). This could be amazing, or it could be a total flop.

Advice please from people who know stuff:

What kind of paint can I use that will not crack, but will be durable and flexible enough to allow the separated flags to fly?

Would you recommend or advise against painting both sides of the flags? (advantage being that when split, someone waving the single flag could still convey the full WE ARE LEINSTER message- disadvantage would be added weight and possible loss of flexibility depending on the paint).

    Will this work?

    Thanks a million!

  • Is there any site that will give a temporary e-mail address with varied domains?

Say, for example, someone needed a temporary e-mail that wasn't on a list of temp. mails of a particular website which is trying to charge lots of money for viewing films and cut back on fake accounts.

Basically, I need a temp. mail that's not on Graboid's files, or a temp. e-mail with randomised domain, if possible, in order to watch films on-line for free.

  • In rugby, if an opponent throws a punch at you...?

are you entitled you hit back in self defence?

Two scenarios... a player throws a punch at you, and you then batter him, what will/should the referee do with his cards?

Second, a player throws a punch at your team-mate, knocks him out, and you come in and knock the original aggressor out, what should the ref do?

  • Can smoking half a joint affect your fitness levels?

If you smoke say half a joint can it negatively affect your fitness for sprints or stamina for a whole match?

What if it were half a j that you didn't entirely inhale, but only half breathed in, like the honourable Bill Clinton?

  • How can I improve my tackling?

How can I improve my tackling?

I'm new to the game this year, and I had a couple of injuries to my shoulder and ribs early on which held me back somewhat. I was diving in and making good hits before- now as I approach being fully fit again I have found if I hit a player running at me with my shoulder around hip-height, I make good contact, but fail to get the wrap with the arms, and often don't bring the man down. On bigger lads I've tried hitting as low as possible, but often end up with one leg, sometimes two, and very low, still not getting the desired effect....

So, depending on the size of the opponent, where should I be hitting with the shoulder? Hips, knees, or other? And any tips on getting the wrap right? Thanks

  • Can anyone recommend their best choice of rugby upper body protection?

I started playing this season, and used a basic Rugbytech shoulder and arm protection, and have thus far managed to mess up my rotator cuff and my ribs under the right pectoral. I know, my body will get used to the contact, but in the mean time I'm spending way too much time injured and not getting the training and game time I need to progress. At present, with messed up ribs and shoulder, I'm flinching out of tackles in anticipation of making things worse, rather than hitting hard like I used to, Any recommendations are appreciated! Thanks

  • Does anyone know the final score of The CENTENARY OF RUGBY FOOTBALL MATCH 1923?

It was held at Rugby School, rather controversially at the time, and featured the novel sight of a combined Ireland and Scotland side playing a combined English and Welsh side. Strangely the score seems to have been omitted... perhaps because the victor was unimportant compared to the occasion... but if anyone knows, would be interested to know! Thanks!

  • Why do women think they can change the men they choose?

Why is it that men tend to look on a woman as a completed article, whereas women seem to be entirely unrealistic in this regard? They find a guy the like more or less for a long-term relationship and set about trying to change his personality until it suits their qualms.

We tend not to bother. Some men will marry very beautiful women with terrible personalities, true, and let themselves in for a life of misery. But no man finds himself a woman he's attracted to and then think "I know I can iron out all her major defects within a year, and THEN- bam, marriage material!".

I can only speak for me, but if I were to find a beautiful girl who wasn't crazy, stupid, manipulative or a massive nag, but was caring, interesting, intelligent and fun to be with, I reckon I'd whip her off the market a.s.a.p.. That doesn't mean in the mean time I'm going to find myself a girl who I think is ok, and get to remoulding her personality until I have created the perfect woman. You might as well start robbing graveyards for corpses and laughing like this:

  • What kind of exercises should I do to improve the distance on my kicks?

I want to be able to add distance onto my kicks in rugby. This applies specifically to place kicks and conversions. If there are gym exercises or drills, I'd love to know them.

I am pretty accurate (first real session today). I can put a straight kick over from a decent-ish distance, and can put a touchline one over the bar, JUST. I see the pros put touchline ones over at the height of the posts, and slot penos from beyond the half way. How can I get that kind of range?

  • Can you change a normal pair of 8-stud rugby boots to 6-stud?

Can you change a normal pair of 8-stud rugby boots to 6-stud by strategically removing two of the studs?

Am playing rugby, and grabbed the first pair of boots I found for a decent price (Mizuno, 60 euros). Hadn't played before, so wasn't sure if I were to be a forward or a back (still not entirely sure), but as things stand am trying out for the back line. I understand 6-studs are quicker.... can I convert those boots to 6, or would I need a new pair? Cheers!

  • Can anyone recommend any dietary supplements to aid fat loss, and also have no adverse effects on health?

I'm doing a lot of weight training in the gym, and seeing great results. I already supplement my diet for this purpose with whey protein and creatine tablets. The only problem is I'm carrying some extra weight at the beer - gut level.

I work hard in the gym, and try and do half an hour's cardio before the weight training, which I now do 6 days a week. My diet is healthy, I eat porridge for breakfast, often just a protein shake for lunch, and a home-cooked healthy meal for dinner. However, I'm not losing any weight (actually am gaining muscle, so getting heavier), and I can't see that I'm losing much fat.

I know stomach fat is harder to shift than fat stores in other areas, but am getting disheartened. Has anyone any advice about any dietary supplements, natural or pharmaceutical, that might help, or can tell me what I might try to shift this beer gut?

(I'm 5'10'', weight 197.5lbs/ 89.5kgs, and am lifting good weight, with lots of muscle, but my gut is a massive 39 inches around my belly-button... help me please!)

  • Are there any free sites that analyse your musical tastes to recommend other songs and bands to you? ?

i.e. a site similar to what lastfm.com used to do for free... you put in a few favourite artists, and it springs up with their stuff and then a new artist, and you vote whether you like it or not, hence allowing the programme to analyse and suggest other tracks...
