anyone know what insect this is?

I was out and about in the bush and twice i stumbled upon a strange orange bug dragging away a dead spider, i would like to know what sort of bug it is. Unfortunately i do not have any details but its colour. It was not a centipede, mantis or beetle it was something else.

Cheers:)

P.s It wasn't chuck norris :p

Update:

hm mm may have been a wasp but it was all coloured orange, a goldy orange. I just found is fascinating that i came across the same behavior twice in different areas, meaning this was probably a typical thing.....so wasp is viable but i'm just not sure.

Thank you :)

Update 2:

Hmm spider wasp might just be it. Ah the mysteries of the natural world and all the answers on such an odd question makes me happy! thank you for all the answers guys :)

Could be a Spider wasp which are found in Australia but if you saw it in New Zealand it might be something different.

Some wasp species sting spiders, then drag them back to their nest where they have laid their eggs so that the young larvae can feed on the spider when they hatch.

If the wings were orange, and the body a metalic color, it may have been a tarantula hawk...a type of wasp.
