How to save animations in Photoshop CS4?
Under file I have no "save for web & devices" or "save for web" button, so I'm confused. This is what I was told to click but I don't have it so there must be another way?
I didn't mean the short cut. I meant how to save a animation.

You might have to accept a change you made (as with text, or a resize). This will prevent those options from showing up. Check the options tool bar (across the top) and see if there's a check mark symbol at the end of the toolbar. Accept (or cancel if you don't like the changes), then the save options should be available.
