Misspelling in note to hiring manager?

Scenario

I replied to a hiring manager explaining how a certain position overlapped with another one.

Unfortunately in my haste, I accidentally dropped a "p" in the word "overlapped" when I sent it.

Outside of seriously beating myself up over this...(can't believe I even did this as I never misspell words...much less send them out that way), what should I do?

Should I:

a. send an acknowledgement of the error and apologize, or

b. should I just drop it?

I already have an interview scheduled with them in a few days. Should I address it then, or just drop it?

This is so embarrassing and not reflective of my work.

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

Goodness, you have an interview - forget your typo!! Can you imagine this scenario: "Well, we were going to give them the job but they mis-spelled Overlapped so ..." No, don't think so!

I once mis-spelled 'public areas of the hotel' in my CV. I leave it to you to guess how I mis-spelled public - and sent out about 10 CVs before I noticed :0)

if something is weighing on your mind, do something about it. Send a note and say that you want to fix an error in your previous note. It seems minor but you need to pay attention when your brain warns you to do something. The manager will know that you take this job seriously.

    At this point, drop it.
