Thank you gift for a hispanic family?

I met my boyfriends family this weekend for the first time. We stayed with them and they are hispanic and don t really speak English, I am white and barley speak Spanish. Anyways I want to send them some kind of a thank you gift, they were very sweet to me and made me feel welcomed. However I have no idea what would be a good gift to send to a hispanic family? I want it to be thoughtful but not super expensive and also be easily sent in the mail, because they are an 8 hour drive from us! Any ideas appreciated

A gift certificate to a restaurant that you know is near them. Just a nice handwritten note wuld probably impress them.

First of all, forgive me but "hispanic" is not a race....

What's their nationality? if they are mexican or south american then i guess they are passionate about football (soccer) you could buy them a jersey of their national team..... or you could also buy them some candies from their native nation... Again, think about their nationality! not about their "race"
