In what store can I get cheap floating fly fishing line? (Excuding online websites)?

If you have a Walmart in your area, then go buy some of the Superfly fly line they have; it doesn't cost much and it is a decent fly line but you should also check to see if they have any Cortland fly line because they usually have some at a decent price as well.

OH dear Old Optimist clearly does not go fishing at all.

Fly fishing line is nothing like nor performs like 2lb mono line.

There is no cheap store fly fishing line nor tricks that magical changes mono line in to fly fishing line

If you want fly fishing floating line then you buy the price for it!

And if you look after it .

Then it will last you for a few years before you need to replace it!

So cough up or give up!

Walmart, if they even have fly fishing gear. Mine doesn't. That, a swap meet, a local fly shop, or a Facebook group.If you want to be thriftier than even that, get 2 lb mono and coat it in Carmex. Lip balm helps line stay afloat. It's a common trick for poppers, and though I think it would work, I'm not sure about flies.
