Can you be iron deficient even if red blood cell count is normal?

Yes. If you have doubts you should get your iron checked out. Its a really simple test. They do it for free right in front of you when you donate blood. There are also home kits you can use. I don't think they are very expensive. but if you have a real issue or question, call your Doctor
