England Travel Rules : If it's a 'green' country ?

There will be three classifications :  Green country, Amber country and Red country.

If I am travelling to a 'green' country, I will have to have a Covid test prior to departure and on arrival back in England.

Who is going to pay for that ?   Presumably me.   So how much will the tests cost ?

If it's expensive is that not going to discourage international air travel just when the airlines, hotels and travel industry need the business ??

Update:

" I read that the cheaper airlines will charge around £75 per covid test. "

But is that the lateral flow (cheaper) Covid test ?--  If it is then that's going to cost £150 per trip abroad.    A typical Easyjet (budget airline) return flight is £100.   So that is going to make a £100 trip abroad £250.    Almost no-one is going to go for that and that could KILL Easyjet (and other budget airlines) as a business.     It won't affect more expensive longer distance flights as much (British Airways)

That sounds like a reasonable approach. The cost of a test is minimal compared to the cost of international flights.

I read that the cheaper airlines will charge around £75 per covid test.

If you prefer to go private:

Private tests can cost £120 on the high street or over £200 at some clinics.
