can salt make you anxious?

I notice whenever I eat a meal high in salt my heart beats very fast and i feel generally anxious. Can this be because of the salt?

    If I get low blood pressure.  I eat more salt but yes salt can.

    Salt can raise your blood pressure which puts a strain on your heart.
