Blood pressure high at 4 pm.?

So, while finally my Dad's hypertension is under control now, around and at 4 pm it's occasionally in the range of 145 to 150. In the morning and at night, it's normal, though.

Are there any specific things we could do to address the particular time's high blood pressure?

Blood pressure normally goes up and down during the day, depending on what you are doing.  The lower number - the diastolic number - is more important than the upper, systolic number, which I assume is the 150.  Nothing to worry about if it goes up to 150 and then goes down again.  The Diastolic should stay below 80 though, or 90 at the most.  If it spends a lot of time at 90, he should see his doctor.  It's not an emergency, just a signal that it needs attention.
