Left axis deviation means the left side of your heart is probably enlarged. Chronic high blood pressure can cause this to happen. I would definitely advise to bring your BP under control. First would be to avoid foods that are high in salt. Exercise will also help lower BP, as will losing weight if you are obese. If you haven't seen a physician yet see one ASAP, you need medications to control your BP.

Hello. Sinus Rhythm Left Axis is a block, they are not determined what causes it. Its like half and half. Is not an enlargement of the heart. So if u need more answers I think u need to talk to your doc. cuz people on here will scare u up. What I mean by half and half, its not fully blocked but there's a little blockage. For you b.p. you can go to your pharmacist they have things there u can by over the counter to help with blood pressure. Also take a aspirin a day 80mg (baby aspirin)

Eat stuff with out salt,no fried foods. I have h.b.p. Walk for 30 mins. every 2 or how many days out of the week. YOU DO NOT HAVE AN ENLARGE HEART. Talk to your doc. about something for that block OK. Normal b.p. for adult is 140/90 to 120/80. Some doctors like it to be lower than 140/90. If u have high high blood pressure that's a good b.p. for some adults 140/90

The left axis is relative to what position the heart is in during the ekg, no problem. Normal sinus rhythm is normal. It just means that there is nothing going on with the way that your heart is beating. It will not inform you of blockages, but, it can tell if you've had a previous heart attack, or if you're developing a heart block. Besides medication, which is what you may need to lower your blood pressure, you can limit your intake of salt, sodium added foods, caffiene drinks ( including the dark and yellow sodas), red meats, tobacco products, and alcohol, if these are things that you use. High blood pressure can be controlled via medication, and is almost always due to heredity. Your blood pressure is too high, and, if not corrected, can lead to kidney and/or heart damage. Your doctor that ordered the EKG can start you on a blood pressure medication, if you're not already on one. In the meantime, see if limiting the items mentioned above help to improve your blood pressure and bring it lower than 150 / 90.
