can "athletes heart" cause ventricular arrhythmia?

I exercised excessively leading up to the summer of 2019.  That summer, I experienced what felt like NSVT episodes during sex, especially during orgasm.  I went to get checked out by a cardiologist and he said I had an enlarged heart, but this was probably due to excessive exercise.  He seemed pretty confident that it was "athletes heart".  My arrhythmia during sex slowly got better through about January of 2020.  Since then I have been exercising considerably less and now I don't experience ventricular arrhythmia during sex anymore.
