  • Joint variation math problem?

T varies jointly as X and E2. When X=2, E=2, T=40. Find T when X is 7 and E is 8. The E is squared. I arrived at: T = 2240. Can you guys break the process down and tell me if I'm correct? Thanks!

  • What's the best Grand Cherokee to look for?

What is the best year/mileage for a Grand Cherokee under $10,000?

In other words, I found a 2003 one for $9000 grand, and it had 90,000 miles on it. Is that a good buy? What should I be looking for? I don't know much about buying cars, how much do I talk them down to? Thanks!

  • What should I do about my cats fighting?

I have two female cats. Once in awhile I would let them outside for about 5-10 minutes and go out with them. However, over time, they would get aggressive when I would bring them back in. Not only would they not like me bringing them back in, but one of my cats would get angry and be aggressive towards me and the other cat for the rest of the night. Later on it would be fine however. I believe it had to do with me and the other cat smelling like outside, but I'm not sure. For those reasons I have since stopped letting them outside.

Nevertheless, my sister or someone accidentally let it outside. It was out there for a couple hours and I finally caught it and brought it back in. When I did, it got scared when I opened the door, jumped out of my arms, and ran out of the kitchen. The other cat saw it and chased it. They started to fight like crazy and run around the house. Besides little things, they have never fought before, it has always been play-fighting. They did this a couple more times. Now my cat (the one that got outside) is terrified and just sits in a corner. When I picked it up once it was even shivering. The other cat will sneak up to it, and they will snap at each other, but I separate them. I locked the one that got outside up with food, water, and a litter box, but it kept trying to get out of the door so I just let it out.

How should I get them to stop fighting? It's consistently scared of the other cat, it keeps peaking out of the room to see if it's there. Like I said, this is the first time this has happened, they've always been fine with each other.

  • My Cat Is Missing Fur?

Hey guys, my cat has fur missing on it's right-back leg, on the top (or back) of it's foot. I checked the area and did not see any skin damage or anything. I did see a white line, I think it's a bone but it was hard to check since the cat didn't want me to hold her.

The cat does not appear to be in any pain and seems fine. What is the normal cause of this, and is there anything I can do to fix it?

    Thanks!

  • Question about roundworms?

My cat vomited up 4 roundworms. The vet said to get a stool sample and bring it in. However, I have two cats (yes, I'm going to bring the second cat as well), so I can't just take a stool sample from the litter box because I don't know which one is from which cat.

Do you guys have any suggestions on how to go about this? I never catch them in their litter box, and everytime I do, they're just peeing.

Also, even though I'm going to ask the vet first I'd like to know your guys' experiences. Is it really necessary to actually bring the cats in, or just the stool samples? If it is necessary, why? What is the typical visit like?

    Thanks!

  • When will 2010 plasma models come out?

I want to buy a 42 inch plasma, preferably made by Panasonic. There is probably no way of telling when their new line of plasmas are going to come out this year, but when do they usually come out? Should I buy a 2009 model or 2010 model?

I'm looking for quality over money (I get a lot of money off of them because my work place sells them), so I don't care that a 2009 model is going to save me money, but at the same time I don't want to have to wait months for 2010 models.

    Thanks!

  • How do I switch Windows 7 versions on two computers?

I get Windows 7 Ultimate for free from work, and I bought a laptop with Windows 7 home premium. I was wondering if there was a legal way for me to get home premium on my desktop computer, because I want the ultimate version to be on my laptop.

I realize this question has been answered a lot, but I'm looking for a answer specific to my question. Thank you.

  • Are my kittens playing too aggressively?

I have two kittens, they are both about 2 months old. One of them bites very hard, and when it bites the other kitten it will meow and sort of growl. This kitten seems like it wants to play with the other cat, but it also seems like it's complaining when it gets attacked so aggressively.

The kitten that bites hard will also play with my hand, which I read somewhere that that is a sign of aggression. My other kitten will not play with my hand, it'll pull out it's claws a little bit but it won't be like what the other kitten does.

Also, they will wag their tails when playing, ears pulled back, etc.

So what are signs of play and signs of them being too aggressive? Also, any way to get the kittens to play nicer? I realize kittens do play aggressively, but it looks like the one kitten does not like it.

  • How can you tell if cat wound is infected?

My kitten (about 2 months old) got stung by a bee. It's right jaw got really swollen and the cat became lethargic. The swelling has gone down and the kitten plays now but for some reason it had an open wound where the swollen area was.

It's fur shed in that area and pus came out. Right now I looked at the kitten and it looks like there is something white in the wound. Is the wound infected, and what can happen if it is? Also, any suggestions as to why the kitten got the wound in the first place? I assume the kitten scratched there to get the stinger out, or the other kitten (about the same age) bit it where the stinger was.

Obviously I'm going to try and get the cat to the vet, just wanted some info about it. And, for another question, how much does it generally cost to get infections cleaned up? I live in Ohio.

    Thank you.

  • Do Halo 3 map secrets work on Xbox Live?

Do Halo 3 map secrets work in matchmaking? For instance, in the map, "The Pit" there is an empty room on each side of the map towards the top (I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about). So in Forge I can use the brute shot to jump up there, however when I did it in matchmaking it wouldn't work.

So does Bungie patch the maps up only on Xbox Live, and not in forge?

  • Network Administration Book?

Hello everyone, I would like to learn about network administration. I am looking for some good resources to learn more about networking in general. I see that there are a lot of books aimed at specific things in networking, but does anyone know of any good resources that are aimed at networking as a whole?

Free online resources would be nice, but any other suggestions such as books are what I'm looking for too.
