  • For JSUNT, does an instructor need to be an AC first?

    JSUNT - Nav. Training

    AC - Aircraft Commander.

We are trying to PCS to Pensacola to be a pilot in this position (job being fly the first six flights for the training Navigators - very basic), and need something that says if a co-pilot needs to get his AC upgrade first.

  • What is a good bridal shower gift?

I've still got a couple months until the bridal shower for my sister-in-law-to-be.

I'm known as a great gift giver - I usually have awesome ideas, but I'm stumped on this one. I don't know that much about the girl - she's fun and artsy - does interior design as a career.

I'm looking for great ideas for gifts. I've got a reputation to uphold!!!

  • My 2 1/2 year old son climbed up and ate about 10 children's vitamins?

Yes, I put the "child safe" container out of reach, but he pulled a chair over and got up, and I only caught him after he'd eaten about 5 to 10 of them. I'm going to call my doctor, but it'll take a little while for me to hear back from him so I figured I'd check on here.

  • Why are teachers primarily Democratic and does it influence our children too much?

People around college student age have a high majority in favor of Obama. All the other age groups are more evenly divided. I hear a lot of my peers talking about "change" without any foundational knowledge, as if the word enough ensures a positive future for America.

  • What is the current paternal leave policy for USAF/Military?

Hi everyone! I'm pregnant and due with a new baby at the end of October. My husband is active duty and he's not deployed or deploying anytime soon :)

I just need to know if there's something official out there on what leave he can take for the birth of a child or if it's just your standard regular leave at commander's discretion. I found something that said "10 days non-chargeable leave for new father" but have found nothing to back that up. We just need to know so my hubby knows what to ask for (and takes advantage of any free leave!)

  • What everyday foods are good for pregnancy heartburn?

Well folks, I am hitting that third trimester, and the baby is high enough and pushing everything up enough to give me good old heartburn at night.

I just wanted to see what natural suggestions people had for getting rid of the heartburn. This is my second time around and I don't remember what all I did with my first, besides Tums.

I'm looking for more along the lines of what I should put in dinner to help.

  • Another Question for second time moms who breastfed!?

When I went through my first I had all that pain of toughening up the nipples and engorgement. I understand if for the second engorgement comes back, but do the nipples have to be re-toughened or will they do better this time? Last time mine cracked and bled and it was very painful for the first few weeks.

I'll tough it out either way, but I'm curious to know!

  • How about this name for our baby?

We are looking at names - don't know the sex of the child, so we have two names.

First, for a boy we like Gabriel Martin - but (by coincidence) it is the son of the guy in the movie "The Patriot". Do you think we could get away with it even though it has that coincidence? Do you think anyone would notice? What do you think?

Second, for a girl, we like Eleanor Ruth, but our last name begins with "L". Do you think we'll have a problem with her initials being E.R.L. or would it be okay?

Thanks so much for any thoughts on these names!

  • Why are so many TTC people not married?

Is it me or are a lot of the people on this website in the TTC section saying "my BF" or "my fiancé"? If you are in this category, why are you not married before you TTC? I thought typical was two to four years after marriage, not before!

Not trying to make a statement here, just curious.
