so basically i am nannying a 7 almost 8 year old boy, he is about to be held back in the first grade for the second time, this is because of his reading skills. apparently at the end of the school year he was at a "1.3" reading level and he needs to be a "2.3" reading level in order to move onto the second grade. the main issues he has are with scrambling letters such as saying "who" when the word is "how" or "there" when the word is "three" sometimes he starts in the middle of a word, things like "never" and he'll say "veren", he will often just say words that might sound ok in context, things like "a" and "the" "at" "in", if you tell him its wrong he will get it right the next time. sometimes he will say words that don't look ANYTHING like the word given, like today he kept saying "huggle" instead of "grummble" he just guesses, sometimes he will say a word that makes sense sort of in context, but is the completely wrong word, things like saying "juggle feet" when he's supposed to say "trick feet". he has a hard time paying attention and most anything you say he will not remember, i can correct him literally 8 times in a row (not throughout the book, at the same time) and he will still say it incorrectly. i have been working with him for an hour everyday the entire summer, he is doing better, but im worried he still won't make it into the second grade, in which case he won't graduate until he's 20 :/ is there anything his mom can say to the teacher to get him re tested?

her personal biography on her page is not acceptable to my teacher, they have to be super academic, absolutely no articles or news journals. obviously things like wikipedia are out of the question. these need to be top of the line type of things.

hi, i'm looking at majors right now and all i'm seeing for singing is vocal performance and usually it talks about opera. i'm an alternative rock singer with some broadway influences, i know i have talent and have taken lessons before but it seems like all the colleges are looking for Opera singers rather than normal singers. is there a program in colleges for people like me? are vocal performance majors only for opera singers? if so, what should my major be, i want to be in a band and tour but i think a strong music education backround would help.

i find out very soon whether or not i am going to receive a body piercing apprenticeship but i read somewhere it would take 6 months! i don't know if i can spend 6 months just learning i would need to start getting paid at least a little bit sooner....... if any of you know how long or have done it please tell me!

I'm applying for a tattoo apprenticeship but I'm 17, i figure by the time they decide and `actually start training me it will probably be october, i turn 18 at the end of november. also isn't there some kind of license you have to get in order to give tattoo's? but anyway won't i need at least 2 months of training before i can go near anyone with a needle? I'm just trying to figure out if i have a shot.

i only got a combined 1050 with the reading and math.......i need a 1270. i bought some sat books and have completed one of them, the other is mostly review but a ton of practice tests. please if u have some magic strategy to boost me 220 points i will love you forever. i have two more shots at the sat and one at the act, act i need a 28. any advice please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i went into the first completely unprepared, didn't even remember the part about guessing! :(((

hi, i am 17 and i am very interested in this gorgeous (and i mean gorgeous!) yellow mustang. it looks absolutely brand new off the lot. it has almost 100,000 miles on it though..... which isn't so bad for it's age but i'm a little nervous that i'm going to buy it only to have a bunch of issues which i would like to avoid if possible. it's only $7200 and i can more than afford the car, so my main question is is it reliable, do you think i might have to do some repairs on it fairly soon? i also can't drive a stick and i don't know if it is a stick or not, the dealer is closed only when i'm available. i mean who opens at 10 and closes at 6! so i havn't been able to test drive yet or take a really really good look at it, i'm going tomorrow so if theres anything i should be on the look out for, trouble signs or things that i might notice while driving it that might be indicators....... i'm just looking for some info.

it seems like for the last 2 months ive often been having trouble sleeping. i can't seem 2 fall asleep, if i can fall asleep, imma rock and ill eat you alive if you try 2 wake me up. ive tried everything, baths, milk, tea, waking up early, same time everyday, massages, music, exercising, stress reducers, pills, everything! it seems like its every other night or every two nights that i can sleep. im not extremely tired the next day, maybe wining for a nap at like 3-4 but my mom naps everyday and she can sleep.............. if u have any tips, advice, anything would be helpful, im only 16, my parents want to put me into what is basically a drug induced coma every night which would be worse because that exhausts me........... its curently 4:00 am......... still awake............ waiting........

im having my sweet 16 a week from tomorrow, i was wondering if anyone had any cool ideas. decorations, snacks, no themes or apparel. ummm most ppl who are going are gunna be punk/rock/alternative/death metal types so no pink and no childish stuff rly, but pretty elegant cool stuff is fine :) any suggestions are welcome!!

ok, i have just beat the 2nd gym leader and im trying 2 figure out hoiw 2 move on, fatima is gone, imma battle the veilstone gym leader and the water gym leader and hope something happens, if u have any advice or cheats or know what to do next 4 sre plz tell me.
