  • Post stomach resection digestion?

After vagotomy, antrectomy, and Roux-en-Y gastrojejunostomy I am taking Ox bile capsules to aid digestion, but am wondering when is the best time? I'm not supposed to drink during or for 2-hours after eating. Before eating the capsule may exit the stoma, afterwards it doesn't mix into the food. Advice?

  • What is the psychology of wearing a hoodie?

A 13 year old relative (a male) has started wearing a hoodie when he is out shoppingwith his father or coming to visit grandparents. The boy has a strange life. As a single parent, his father makes him stay in the house after school, as the father works until 11 PM each night. Weekends the boy is socially isolated, as the father works most of Saturday and all of Sunday.

Is the hoodie a sign of rebellion, depression, shelter from abuse? I m at a loss. Anyone with experience, I d appreciate your comments.

  • "trap" in the house A/C condensate line?

Is there a "trap" in the condensate line between the air handler in the house and the outside water drainage release? I m trying to unclog the line.

From inside the coaxial cable I"m using gets stopped about six feet in.

From outside I can put 13 feet of coaxial up the drain tube, without reistance. But 13 feet is all the cable I have.

I ve tried bleach, peroxide, detergent, vinegar (cold and boiling hot) and hot water during the past 8-days. Hot water worked best, but the line is still clogger up.

  • TV remote control that Mutes commercials?

Is there a TV remote that will mute the sound during commercials? If not, someone should crowd fund the development of such a device. I would pay $50 for one.

The sound typically increases during commercials, plus there is some much repetition of commercials. It's sickening.

  • Web pages that can't be seen completely?

Sometimes a web page lacks an vertical slider bar.

On my desktop with a 32 inch screen, the only way I can see that page is to hit CTL - (minus) to reduce the page size, but then the text can't be read.

What am I missing? Thanks for your thoughts.

  • Word XP 2000 section breaks faulty?

I added New Page section breaks to make chapters in my book.

Then I typed in different headers for each section break/chapter.

But the newest header always becomes the header thru-out.

First I tried adding the headers from last chapter to first and then tried first chapter to last with the same results, i.e. the last typed header dominates every page, the section breaks aren't working.

I also started with a new file, made five pages using New Page section breaks, then put in different headers, but the newest header always appears on every page. What is my problem? Thank you Great Sages and Super Nerds.

  • Laser excision of GOO blockage possible?

First, I've got dudenal GOO and my doc wants to do a bypass as serial balloon dilation hasn't been effective and I'm living on Ensure and chicken broth.

Why can't the laser remove my obstructive ulcer growth, just as is done for colon polyps and cancerous duodenum growths?

I had a monster colonic polyp removed with no problems, so why not the ulcer?

Second, is anyone aware of a university or clinic or doctor that is doing laser abolation for neoplasm removal in the USA?

Many do laser work to control bleeding but bleeding is not present.

  • Orlando area least expensive golf club memberships?

Is someone knowledgable about the Orlando, Florida area?

Is there a golf club that offers monthly payment memberships? And what is the cost? I'm looking for a really inexpensive club for a beginning golfer (adult), course conditions not important and A NINE HOLE COURSE IS FINE.

Would prefer the north side of town rather than the south side.

    Thank you.

  • Can you become Author to adopt existing books/drafts?

Hi. I'm an experienced author but my health is bad. I'd like to turnover two children's books and an adult book to someone to continue their sale/distribution.

The books teach writing, and here's a sample of the texts:

    This is a {yarn = tale = story} __________ about a lost ball. But {initially = first} ___________ you must {understand = know} ______________ something about the Land of Cats.

The books teach vocabulary, spelling, grammar and creative writing. The children's books are titled "I wrote this book" by ________. The child fills in his/her name as the author. One book is "Children's Classic Bedtime Stories" and "A True Story from the Land of Cats". Some children go back and completely rewrite the stories as their language skills improve.

Locally some 3rd grade teachers are using my texts in their classrooms. They report children who have problems enjoy this format.

The adult book is a business text covering 48 topics, from Accounting to Warehousing. Two publishers have told me to break it (600 pages) into three books, for Administration, Sales and Operations, but my health has kep me from doing that.

The adult book is now titled "Practice Lessons for Business Writing", but your can change the titles as you see fit. The adult book was first published as "Writing Simulator for Business Communications" in 2002.

The results from persons using these books border on miracles. Some children have improved their language arts skills 3 grade levels, and adult non-native English speakers report that not only has their spoken English improved, but also their hearing comrehension improved 100% after writing only 4 chapters, about 50 pages.

Anyone who knows of a website or bulletin board that might help, or someone who is interested in taking over my books, please contact me RobertRHood@yahoo.

    Thanks. Robert

  • Tort lawyer retainer agreement excludes his expenses?

Is it fair for a tort lawyer to receive 35% plus be reimbursed by the Plaintiff for all his expenses when the P has no control over said expenses? My lawyer wants his 35% to be preserved, even if he calls in other lawyers as counsultants.
